Yellow volume 2 by Makoto Tateno

        About the book:

Taki and Goh are partners in everything... except romance. With a slew of crucial assignments now under their belts, this covert team of drug snatchers starts to rack up bigger deals with sweeter payoffs. The problem? With every new job comes another battle of wills and massive tidal wave of unfulfilled desire. Working together is no easy street when your heart is racing and criminal masterminds continue to turn the entire city into a hide-and-seek playground.

Lovers from the past, a beautiful male escort, even a flurry of bullets... nothing can get in the way of the escalating passion in YELLOW. Will the soft-focus light of caution finally turn green, or will someone slam on the brakes and throw two hearts into a deadly tailspin?

Review:

I love this series so much. I mean you should know how much I loved the first volume if you've read my review on it. I was a little afraid that this volume wouldn't be as good as the first but I'm so glad that my worries were unwarranted. This volume was just as good... maybe even better. I couldn't put this manga down. Each chapter was exciting and I loved the new characters that were introduced. If you've read the first volume and aren't sure about reading this one then please do. You won't regret it!

In this volume there are jobs every chapter just like the last volume but these are more serious and way more thrilling. I literally couldn't put this volume down. It was that good. So anyway in the fist chapter in this volume you are introduced to a cutie named Kanji. He suspects that his mom is dealing drugs and wants Taki and Goh to find the drugs and get rid of them. Kanji is such a cutie. He is just so sweet and innocent. I love his personality. He sometimes talks too loud (like me) and is a magician (not a very amazing one though). I loved his character and am glad that he's sticking around. He's a nice little reprieve once in awhile from the sexual tension between Taki and Goh. We are also introduced to a man from Goh's past named Kei. He's... interesting. I sort of felt bad for him in a way. He's not a bad character though. It was great to learn more about Goh. Taki and Goh are still the same in this volume... well not all the same but I'm not going to spoil anything. Goh is still sexually harassing Taki with Taki reciprocating by either pulling his gun on Goh or just plain hitting him the old fashion way. They are so good together. Man I ship them so hard.

The art is still plenty good. I love the cover. I still can't find the word I want to describe the art. It's so sleek and cool looking. I think this is my second favorite art style. Though soon becoming my first. Makoto Tateno is an amazing artist. I lover her work. I have Goh as my screensaver on my chrome book.

Overall, I loved this volume with it's amazing thriller scenes and sexual tension. I love the characters and can't wait to read the next volume. I especially loved the mini cliffhanger at the end of this volume. I'm so wondering who is Goh and Taki's new enemy and if that enemy will stay a while. Ooh (squeal!). I so so so can't wait to read the next volume. I highly recommend this series if you love yaoi, action, funny scenes and just some thrills.
